Dr. Patricia Vickers is the first Indigenous author to be published by our publishing house, HARP The People’s Press (www.harppublishing.ca).

I first learned about Feast Hall writing style in her inquiry, Singing to the Darkness, in which Patricia includes monologues and meditations along with twenty of her original art pieces. Dr. Gabor Maté, author of In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts, says of her writing that she “teaches us in language that, transcending thought, directly pierces the heart.”
